The Journey Behind Heather Lena's Healing Blueprint™

Sometimes the things we create begin long before we realize we are creating them.

That is how I feel about Heather Lena’s Healing Blueprint™.

If you had asked me in 2017—or even when Heather Lena officially became my brand in 2023—what the Healing Blueprint™ would eventually become, I could not have described what I am creating today.

The Blueprint didn’t begin because I sat down one day and decided I needed another program or service for my business. It emerged as I began taking a much deeper look at myself, my healing, my life, my business, and what I needed in order to feel genuinely happy and fulfilled. To understand how I got here, I have to go back a little further.

Before Heather Lena

Before my life became centered around healing, intuitive work, creativity, and helping others explore their own paths, I spent 27 years with the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry.

During those years, I worked at many different levels of the organization, including clerical, security, and administration. That career gave me the opportunity to see people and situations from many different perspectives. It taught me about leadership, accountability, human behavior, crisis, resilience, choices, consequences, and change.

But my professional career is only one part of my story.

In 2017, I began what I now recognize as my own healing and self-discovery journey.

But it didn’t begin with a vision of becoming Heather Lena or creating the Healing Blueprint™. It began much more simply—and personally.

I was beginning to learn about myself as an intuitive psychic medium.

I was trying to understand experiences, feelings, intuitive knowing, and abilities that I hadn’t always understood or had words for. I began exploring what those abilities meant, how they worked, and what they meant for me.

At that point, I wasn’t trying to put together a comprehensive approach to healing.

I was trying to understand me.

As I learned more about my intuitive and psychic-medium abilities, that exploration began opening other doors. I became more interested in spirituality, energy, healing, and different ways of understanding ourselves and the experiences we have.

And, little by little, learning about my abilities also required me to look more deeply at my own life. That is where self-discovery increasingly became personal healing.

And when I say healing journey, I don’t mean that I took a class, learned a healing modality, and suddenly everything in my own life was healed. Far from it.

I have done significant healing work on myself since 2017, and that work has continued even as I became a healer and began helping others. Being a healer does not mean that I no longer have things to work through. It does not mean difficult things stop happening.

And it certainly does not mean I have all the answers.

For me, learning more about my intuitive abilities and becoming more involved in healing ultimately required me to look even more deeply at myself—my experiences, grief, losses, beliefs, fears, patterns, relationships, identity, choices, and the things I had learned to hide or suppress along the way.

What began as a journey to understand my intuitive abilities gradually became a much larger journey to understand myself.

My healing has been—and continues to be—part of that journey.

First Came Healing Angels

As I continued learning about myself, developing my intuitive abilities, exploring healing, and doing more of my own personal work, I also felt increasingly called to use what I was learning to help others.

In 2021, I created Healing Angels Sanctuary, my first healing business.

Healing Angels was created primarily from a desire to help other people heal.

My focus was outward.

  • How could I use what I was learning?

  • How could I use my intuitive abilities?

  • How could I support someone else?

  • How could I help another person through something difficult?

That desire to help others was real, and it remains an important part of who I am today. But eventually I began realizing something.

I needed to be part of what I was creating, too.

Healing Angels Becomes Heather Lena

In 2023, Healing Angels Sanctuary transitioned into Heather Lena.

On the surface, that may look like a business name change. For me, it was much more. Healing Angels was a brand largely centered around helping other people.

With Heather Lena, I became the brand. Becoming the brand meant I had to become more comfortable allowing people to see me.

  • Not just Heather the healer.

  • Not just Heather the psychic medium.

  • Not just Heather the business owner.

Heather

  • My professional experiences.

  • My personal experiences.

  • My healing.

  • My spirituality.

  • My intuition.

  • My education.

  • My creativity.

  • My interests.

  • My personality.

  • My successes.

  • My struggles.

  • My growth.

  • And that has required its own kind of healing.

What Actually Makes Me Happy?

As Heather Lena continued to evolve, I began reassessing much more than my business.

I started reassessing my life. One of the questions I found myself returning to was deceptively simple:

What actually makes me happy?

  • Not what should make me happy.

  • Not what other people expect me to enjoy.

  • Not what looks successful from the outside.

  • Not what someone else thinks I should be doing with my life.

What makes me happy?

And just as importantly:

What makes me feel fulfilled?

Those questions required me to look much deeper than I expected. I began realizing there were parts of myself I had suppressed over the years. One of the biggest was creativity.

I have always had creativity inside me, but there were times when I held pieces of myself back because I was afraid of judgment.

  • What will people think?

  • Will they understand?

  • Will they think this is silly?

  • Am I doing it right?

  • Should someone my age be doing this?

  • What if I simply let myself be who I am?

Reclaiming creativity became about much more than creating things. It became about giving myself permission to be authentically me. It became about discovering what brings me joy and then allowing myself to actually make room for those things.

And I began realizing something important:

Helping other people and allowing myself to be happy do not have to compete with each other.

  • I can serve others and still create.

  • I can help someone heal and still laugh.

  • I can do meaningful work and still have fun.

  • I can be spiritual and still enjoy ordinary life.

  • I can continue healing while also living.

What Are We Healing For?

For a long time, I think many of us have learned to think about healing primarily in terms of what hurts.

  • What happened?

  • What needs to be released?

  • What needs to be fixed?

  • What are we trying to overcome?

Those things matter. But through my own reassessment, I began asking another question:

What are we healing for?

If we do all of this work on ourselves, what are we hoping becomes possible on the other side of it?

For me, the answer increasingly included:

Joy. Love—for myself and for others. Creativity. Authenticity. Purpose. Connection. Peace. Adventure. Growth. Meaning. Fulfillment.

And sometimes just having fun.

I also began realizing that loving myself and loving others are not competing ideas. Learning to value myself, honor my own needs, create boundaries, make room for what brings me happiness, and allow myself to be authentically who I am can affect the way I am able to love, connect with, and show up for other people. Healing and living didn’t need to happen one after the other.

They could happen together.

That realization became an important part of what I was beginning to build.

When All the Pieces Didn’t Fit Together

As Heather Lena continued to grow, I kept having ideas—and I kept creating.

  • There were my healing and intuitive services, but Heather Lena had become much more than individual sessions.

  • I was working with crystals and exploring how they could support healing, intention, spirituality, and everyday life.

  • I created the Radiant Spirits Zen Decks, bringing together affirmations, reflection, and spiritual encouragement.

  • I had spent years writing blogs, sharing pieces of what I had learned and experienced.

  • had created and participated in podcasts, having conversations about healing, spirituality, personal growth, life experiences, and the things so many of us encounter along the way.

  • There were ideas around grief, relationships, emotional wellness, spirituality, holistic living, joy, creativity, self-love, manifestation and abundance, personal growth, purpose, intuitive development, and so much more.

  • There were programs and educational ideas.

  • There were things I wanted to write.

  • There were things I wanted to teach.

  • There were resources I wanted to create.

  • There were things I had learned through my own healing and life experiences that I thought might help someone else.

  • And then I began working toward bringing coaching more intentionally into Heather Lena. That was when something became increasingly clear to me.

I had a lot of pieces—but I didn’t know how they all fit together.

  • Healing sessions were over here.

  • Crystals were somewhere else.

  • The Zen Decks were another piece.

  • The blogs and podcasts contained years of thoughts, experiences, education, and ideas.

  • Coaching seemed like another direction.

  • Then there was creativity, spirituality, intuitive work, grief, relationships, emotional wellness, holistic living, joy, personal development, and everything else I felt drawn to explore.

None of those things were meaningless. Quite the opposite.

They all meant something to me.

Many had grown from something I had personally experienced, something I had learned professionally, something I had discovered through my own healing, something I enjoyed, or something I believed could help someone else.

But when I looked at Heather Lena as a whole, it could feel like puzzle pieces scattered across a table without the picture on the box to show me where they belonged.

And Heather Lena wasn’t the only thing that felt scattered.

I did too.

  • I had spent years creating, learning, healing, helping, writing, talking, exploring, and collecting ideas. Yet I couldn’t quite figure out where I was going with all of it.

  • What was Heather Lena really becoming?

  • How did coaching fit with healing?

  • How did my intuitive work fit with education?

  • Where did crystals fit?

  • Where did the Zen Decks fit?

  • Were the things I had talked about on podcasts or written about in blogs simply content from the past, or was there something more I could do with everything I had already created?

  • Where did creativity belong?

  • Where did joy belong?

  • How did grief, relationships, emotional wellness, spirituality, holistic living, self-love, personal growth, and all the other subjects I kept returning to connect?

  • Were these separate programs?

  • Separate products?

  • Separate parts of the business?

  • Or were they actually pieces of something larger that I simply couldn’t see yet?

The more pieces I accumulated without understanding how they fit together, the harder it became to know where to put my energy.

I began losing my focus and some of my drive.

That was difficult because the problem wasn’t that I had nothing I wanted to do.

It was almost the opposite.

I had so much I wanted to do that I couldn’t see a clear direction through it.

I had all these pieces. What I didn’t have yet was the picture that showed me why they belonged together.

Finding the Picture in the Puzzle

Looking back, I think that period of feeling scattered was an important part of the process.

It forced me to stop asking only:

What should I create next?

And begin asking:

What am I actually trying to create?

That was a very different question. It brought me back to myself.

I began reassessing Heather Lena, but at the same time I was reassessing Heather.

  • What mattered to me?

  • What had I learned?

  • What did I believe about healing?

  • What did I believe about people?

  • What did I want my work to accomplish?

  • What made me happy?

  • What made me feel fulfilled?

  • What parts of myself had I suppressed?

  • What did I want more of in my own life?

  • And what did I want the next chapter of both my life and Heather Lena to look like?

As I began answering those questions, something changed. The scattered pieces didn’t disappear.

They started connecting.

  • Coaching didn’t have to compete with healing.

  • Intuitive work didn’t have to compete with education.

  • Crystals and spiritual tools didn’t have to sit apart from personal growth.

  • Creativity wasn’t something unrelated to healing.

  • Joy wasn’t something frivolous that belonged outside serious healing work.

  • The things I had written about in blogs, discussed through podcasts, explored through the Zen Decks, taught, experienced, and created did not necessarily have to remain isolated pieces from different periods of Heather Lena.

  • Spiritual growth, emotional wellness, relationships, holistic living, personal growth, purpose, grief, boundaries, self-discovery, love, creativity, joy, and the many other things I had been exploring could all be parts of a larger picture.

And once I began finding a meaningful way to bring those pieces together, my outlook changed—not only about the business, but about myself.

  • I could see direction again.

  • I could see possibilities again.

  • I began feeling excited about what I was creating again.

The Healing Blueprint™ Begins to Emerge

Once I could see that there might be a larger picture, I started looking differently at everything I had already brought into Heather Lena. Instead of asking where each individual idea should live on its own, I began asking:

How does this connect?

And the connections started appearing.

  • Grief connected with relationships.

  • Relationships connected with boundaries.

  • Boundaries connected with emotional wellness.

  • Emotional wellness connected with self-understanding.

  • Spirituality connected with purpose.

  • Creativity connected with authentic self-expression.

  • Authenticity connected with joy.

  • Joy connected with healing.

  • Love—for myself and for others—connected with all of it.

  • Healing connected with how we actually choose to live our lives.

Suddenly, things I had created at different times and for different reasons began finding places within a larger framework.

  • Some pieces needed to change.

  • Some needed to grow.

  • Some ideas that had been sitting on the side suddenly made sense.

  • And completely new ideas began emerging because I could finally see what they could connect to.

That larger picture eventually became:

Heather Lena’s Healing Blueprint™.

In many ways, the Healing Blueprint™ gave me the picture on the puzzle box that I had been missing. It didn’t erase the individual pieces that made Heather Lena what it was.

It gave them a meaningful way to belong together.

That changed something in me too. I didn’t create the Healing Blueprint™ and then begin living according to it. In many ways, I lived much of the journey first, created many of the pieces along the way, and then began recognizing the Blueprint that was emerging through all of it.

If I Am Going Through It, Someone Else Probably Is Too

There is a belief I have carried with me for a long time:

If I am going through something, chances are someone else is going through something too.

That does not mean our experiences are identical. They aren’t. And it certainly doesn’t mean someone else’s healing should look like mine. It shouldn’t.

  • But grief is human.

  • Fear is human.

  • Feeling judged is human.

  • Losing ourselves is human.

  • Questioning our purpose is human.

  • Wanting to love and be loved is human.

  • Wanting healthier relationships is human.

  • Wondering what comes next is human.

  • Wanting to feel happy and fulfilled is human.

And sometimes what we learn while finding our own way through something can become something that helps another person find their way.

That is a large part of why I wanted to create the Healing Blueprint™. Not to give people Heather’s Blueprint. But to create tools, education, experiences, and opportunities that may help people discover more about their own.

Create the Life You Are Not Yet Accustomed To

One of the ideas that has emerged through this journey is:

Create the Life You Are Not Yet Accustomed To.

I love this idea because sometimes we become so accustomed to a certain way of living that we mistake familiarity for permanence.

  • We get accustomed to putting ourselves last.

  • We get accustomed to hiding parts of ourselves.

  • We get accustomed to surviving.

  • We get accustomed to relationships or patterns that no longer serve us.

  • We get accustomed to telling ourselves someday.

  • We get accustomed to worrying about what everyone else will think.

  • And sometimes the life we truly want feels uncomfortable at first simply because we haven’t lived there yet.

My own journey has required me to imagine things for myself that at one time weren’t part of the life I knew. And then I had to give myself permission to begin creating them.

That doesn’t happen overnight.

Sometimes we have to:

  • Heal what has been.

  • Understand what is.

  • Imagine what could be.

  • Create what comes next.

  • And then perhaps the hardest part: Learn how to live in the life we are creating.

Healing Through Happiness™

All of this has also helped shape another important philosophy within my work:

Healing Through Happiness™.

That does not mean pretending everything is wonderful. It does not mean ignoring grief, trauma, anger, fear, disappointment, or difficult experiences. And it certainly doesn’t mean we are supposed to be happy every moment of every day.

For me, it means that healing should also make room for the things that help us feel alive.

  • The things that bring meaning.

  • The things that make us smile.

  • The things that reconnect us with ourselves.

  • The people and experiences that allow us to give and receive love.

  • The things that remind us there is more to our story than what hurt us.

Finding those things again has been part of my own healing.

And I’m Still Creating It

Heather Lena’s Healing Blueprint™ has become a lot. Much more than I originally imagined.

There are different areas, resources, educational materials, tools, experiences, and ideas that I am still bringing together and developing. I don’t want to pretend otherwise. The entire vision isn’t finished.

But something has changed for me as I have watched it take shape. Instead of looking only at everything that remains to be done, I am learning to stop and look at what I have already accomplished.

And I’m proud of it.

What makes this especially meaningful to me is watching ideas that once seemed separate begin to find their place. Something I created years ago may suddenly make sense within a part of the Healing Blueprint™ I am developing today.

  • A thought from an old blog may connect with something new.

  • An idea explored in a podcast may lead somewhere I never expected.

  • A crystal, a Zen Deck message, an educational concept, a healing experience, or something I learned through my own life may suddenly connect with another piece.

  • Other parts are completely new.

With every connection, I can see the larger vision becoming a little clearer. Every time another piece comes together, I get a little more excited about what this can become. More importantly, I get excited about sharing it with other people.

Because somewhere out there may be someone asking some of the same questions I have asked:

  • Who am I now?

  • What do I need to heal?

  • What have I been holding onto?

  • What have I suppressed?

  • What brings me joy?

  • What makes me feel fulfilled?

  • What would it look like to be authentically me?

  • What would it feel like to truly love myself?

  • And what do I want the next part of my life to become?

I don’t believe I have those answers for you.

But I do believe you can discover them.

And perhaps something I have learned, created, experienced, or brought together through Heather Lena can help you along the way.

A New Chapter

That is one reason the upcoming Winslow Psychic Fair on September 4 & 5 feels meaningful to me. Yes, I will be there offering Intuitive Readings and Focused Energy Release.

I will also begin sharing more of Heather Lena’s Healing Blueprint™, including the Healing Blueprint™ Journey Exploration Session. In many ways, it feels like another step in an evolution that began with trying to understand myself as an intuitive psychic medium, expanded into my own healing, grew through Healing Angels Sanctuary, became Heather Lena, and eventually developed into something much larger than I originally imagined.

  • I’m still healing.

  • I’m still learning.

  • I’m still creating.

  • I’m still discovering things about myself.

  • I’m still figuring out what brings me joy and fulfillment.

  • And I’m still learning to create a life that sometimes looks very different from the one I was once accustomed to.

Maybe that’s part of the point.

We don’t have to wait until we’re completely finished healing to start living.

And we don’t have to know exactly what the final picture looks like before we begin creating it. Sometimes we simply have to be willing to discover what comes next.

With love,
